Father dies after man shoots him at used-car lot

The 10-year-old boy walked out of a used-car lot with his father Monday night in downtown Oxnard, unaware the man who would fatally shoot his dad during a robbery was hiding nearby.

"He was over there," the boy told reporters Tuesday, pointing to a group of pickup trucks at the South Oxnard Boulevard car lot where the killer was crouched, waiting for the two to pass by.
