Tony Biasotti covers county government and politics for The Star. Before he joined the paper in 2005, he covered the tri-county area for the Pacific Coast Business Times. Biasotti is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and a graduate of UCSB, where he learned the newspaper trade at the student paper, the Daily Nexus. He lives in Ventura with his beautiful wife and their chocolate Labrador retriever.
