@TO-Cal Stand Out hed:Hot fun in the summertime Red Brick Art Gallery, Ventura During the summer months in Ventura, artists can catch a few rays and soak up lots of inspiration. Golden sunlight, dazzling blue waves and cool ocean breezes are the perfect fuel for artistic creativity, a fact made abundantly clear in the new Summer's Heat show at Red Brick Gallery. The sun-kissed work of more than 20 artists, including painters, photographers, woodworkers, sculptors and potters, is on display through Aug. 4 in the show. Featured are waves-in-motion photos by Jocko McFadden, linocuts by Mary Kolada Scott, underwater images by Dan Harding and bronze sculptures by Celia Hartman Reich. Red Brick Gallery is at 328 E. Main St., Ventura. For more information, call 643-6400 or visit http://www.redbrickart.com. photo courtesy of jocko mcfadden
