@TO-Cal Stand Out hed:Dancing hearts Love Lyrics' at Zalk Theater in Ojai A little "Love" movement will spring up in Ojai on Saturday night. Malathi Iyengar and her Rangoli Dance Company will perform "Love Lyrics" at 7:30 p.m. at the Zalk Theater. The concept behind this program of classical Indian dance presented by the Happy Valley Cultural Center and Beatrice Wood Center for the Arts is simple and heartfelt: Dancers will interpret love, whether it's love for a significant other, child, God or nature. The Los Angeles-based Rangoli Dance Company will be joined by dancers and musicians from India. Artistic director and company founder Iyengar, originally from Bangalore, India, is a choreographer, dancer, writer and visual artist. She has a master of fine arts degree in choreography and performance from UCLA and has been recognized as a master artist of Bharatanatyam (classical dance of India) by the Alliance for California Traditional Artists.
