Serra Benson of Ojai spins in a hanging chair as lights flash on the dance floor and DJ Global Zan plays tunes from around the world. The alcohol-free, family-friendly Dance Jam has changed locations over the years but now takes place on the padded floor of the Makoto Dojo in Ventura, where roughly every other Saturday night folks show up to get down.
