Marder, a four-year starter with the Newbury Park High baseball team, and Shipp, a sophomore with the Thousand Oaks High softball team, know there is a lot more to their sports than high batting averages. On Saturday at the CIF State Track and Field Championships at Buchanan High, Rio Mesa High became the only program in state history with three different girls’ 100-meter champions. Ojai's Chang wins rematch with T.O.'s Krems

Yuki Chiang figured a rematch was highly probable. The Ojai resident has become very familiar with Sivan Krems of Thousand Oaks over the last few years. Krems beat Chiang in straight sets in the Girls’ 14 singles final at the Ojai Valley Tennis Tournament, and Chiang spent the last two months trying to fix her flaws. Full story »
