Perry takes step closer to goal with Travelers win

Kenny Perry has set a goal of winning 20 times before he leaves the PGA Tour. The 48-year-old earned No. 14 on Sunday at the Travelers Championship in Cromwell, Conn., shooting a 63 to finish with a tournament-record 258, three strokes better than Paul Goydos and David Toms, two other 40-something golfers. Deluge of low scores at Open

Another day at the U.S. Open ended with a familiar drill. Players dodged puddles in the parking lot as they headed to their cars, a round left incomplete for the third straight day. The maintenance crew grabbed squeegees and pumps as they headed out to Bethpage Black to wage a losing battle against the rain.
