Metrolink orders operator to fire railroad managers

Tom McDonald and Gregg Konstanzer, the railroad managers who were grilled this week by federal transportation officials, must be fired from the company that operates Metrolink trains, Metrolink said Thursday.



In a letter to the executive offices of Connex Railroad — Metrolink’s operator, and a subsidiary of the French conglomerate Veolia — Metrolink’s chief executive told Connex to remove McDonald and Konstanzer, who are the system’s general manager and assistant general manager.
