Fillmore to present new railroad turntable at Railfest

A railroad-car turntable, weighing nearly 100 tons and capable of turning a locomotive, gets it first public demonstration with an engine. It is scheduled at 8 am Friday in Fillmore. Installation of the turntable has occurred over the past several years. This operational debut occurs one day before Railfest, a celebration of railroading, which will take place Saturday and Sunday in Fillmore, Santa Paula and Piru.
