Carriero rejoins bank as trust officer

Oak Park resident Denise Carriero has been named senior vice president and regional trust manager of Wells Fargo Bank. With 25 years of experience in trust management, she will manage the trust officers in the Santa Barbara and Westlake Village offices.

Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Carriero served as senior vice president and regional trust manager for City National Bank, where she was responsible for managing client relationships in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. She also spent 14 years previously with Wells Fargo as a personal trust officer and vice president.

She holds a certified trust and financial adviser designation and is an active member of the Southern California Trust Officers Association and the Los Angeles Estate Planning Council.

Board of directors elects new president

Coastal Housing Partnership board of directors has elected Elizabeth Winterhalter as its president.

Winterhalter is a vice president and mortgage loan officer at Bank of Santa Barbara.

A former Santa Barbara business owner, Winterhalter spent 12 years in the San Francisco Bay Area as president of a marketing consulting firm and as a personal loan consultant for a boutique real estate financing and investment firm.

She returned to Santa Barbara in 2005 when the Bank of Santa Barbara opened for business.

Leis joins Channel Islands YMCA board

The Channel Islands YMCA has elected George Leis to its board of directors, an association of seven YMCA branches serving Santa Barbara and Ventura counties.

Leis is president and chief executive of Pacific Capital Bancorp, a community bank holding company that operates 50 branches on the Central Coast of California under the local brand names of Santa Barbara Bank & Trust, First National Bank of Central California, South Valley National Bank, San Benito Bank and First Bank of San Luis Obispo.

He serves on numerous boards including the business school advisory board at CSU Northridge, Graziadio School of Business & Management's Board of Visitors at Pepperdine University, and the Santa Barbara Symphony board.

THOUSAND OAKS

Financial adviser earns certification

Victoria Way, a financial adviser at WealthCare Alliance Inc. in Thousand Oaks, has earned certification as a financial planner.

Way has worked in the financial services industry for more than seven years, developing one-on-one client relationships through the creation and implementation of financial plans, servicing clients' planning needs, and managing clients' overall day-to-day account administration.

Her experience also includes tax return preparation, bookkeeping, human resources and operations management, plus a 10-year military history.
