Two Oxnard School District labor unions will sponsor a forum Wednesday to help voters get to know the three candidates running for two open seats on the school board.
The forum starts at 7 p.m. in the boardroom at the Oxnard School District offices, 1051 S. A St. Incumbents Al Duff and Denis O'Leary and challenger Aurelio Jauregui all have been invited to participate in the forum.
Steve Tobey, president of the Oxnard Supportive Services Association, and Clara Ramos, president of the district's California School Employees Association chapter, will act as moderators.
Audience members also will have an opportunity to ask candidates questions, if time permits. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and space is limited.
