CLU athletes earn SCIAC honors
Cori Hayes of the Cal Lutheran women's volleyball team and Matt Heagy for the men's water polo team have earned SCIAC Athlete of the Week honors.
Hayes over the last week has accumulated 32 kills, while hitting .588 and giving out 11 assists. She had 14 kills while hitting .778 in last Saturday's sweep of Pomona-Pitzer.
In the pool, Heagy scored 24 goals, drew 10 ejections and had eight steals and eight assists in five games last week. He had a hat trick in all five games, including eight goals against Fordham.
Heagy was also honored as Western Water Polo Association Player of the Week.
