Simi Town Center introduces 'Jazz at Koi Pond,' California Pizza Kitchen high schools' fund-raiser in October

Simi Valley Town Center announces special new programs for October including its new Jazz at the Koi Pond music series each Sunday, and a chance to support five local high schools by simply dining at California Pizza Kitchen. Jazz performances are scheduled each Sunday in October from 2 to 5 p.m. at the koi pond, located in the west end of the center near Macys Women and Urban Home.All performances are free and open to the public, and will culminate with the Rotary Sunrise Youth Art and Music Festival Oct. 25 to 26. Performance schedule:
- Oct. 12 Royal High School Jazz Band
- Oct. 19 Freddy Lopez and Spectrum
- Oct. 26 Simi Valley High School Latin Jazz group
- Oct. 25-26: Rotary Sunrise Youth Art and Music Festival, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days.
Additionally, from Oct. 20 to 23, customers at California Pizza Kitchen can have 20 percent of their total purchase donated to five local high schools, if they download a flyer at www.simivalleytc.com and present it to the server.The program benefits Apollo Grace Brethren, Royal, Santa Susana, and Simi Valley High Schools.Locally anticipated for more than 20 years, Simi Valley Town Center is a 600,000-square-foot open-air shopping, dining and entertainment regional center. Located north of Highway 118, between First Street and Erringer Road, the center features premier tenants such as Anthropologie, Brighton Collectibles, California Pizza Kitchen, Coach, Urban Outfitters, White House Black Market, Z Gallerie and more than 100 additional retailers and eateries.Regular hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sundays 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
