Person found face down in water off PCH
Authorities said late Wednesday afternoon that a man found face down in the ocean off the Pacific Coast Highway in Ventura County may have committed suicide.
Witnesses told police that the man apparently jumped off a seaside cliff shortly after 1 p.m.
He was later pulled from the water onto a beach near La Jolla Canyon.
Authorities did not release the man's name pending notification of next of kin. The Star does not publish the names of suicide victims.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DO NOT PUBLISH NAMES OF PEOPLE WHO COMMIT SUICIDE. YOU DID FOR THE HANGING OF # 13 AT TODD ROAD JAIL. OR IS THAT THE REASON WHY YOU DON'T DO IT ANYMORE?!

Good point, Tiffany. Seems like a more consistent editorial policy is needed.
