More from CourtsThe leader of a Ventura-based skinhead group was sentenced to 15 years in prison Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to six felonies, including street terrorism, assault with the intent to produce great bodily harm and possession of firearms.
Ian Eugene Morrow, 39, also admitted to committing a hate crime in 2005 for the benefit of a gang when he attacked a Latino bouncer at a Ventura nightspot.
Morrow and other alleged white supremacists are accused of attacking the bouncer at the Sans Souci Cocktail Lounge in August 2005 because he had kicked them out of the bar, according to Senior Deputy District Attorney Karen Wold.
They had a confrontation with him, attacked him and yelled racial slurs, Wold said.
Morrow's lawyer, Joe O'Neill, declined to comment.
After the attack on the bouncer, police searched Morrow's house and found several illegal weapons.
While he was out on bail for the 2005 incident, Morrow and his girlfriend decided in 2007 to breed their pit bull dog with a pit bull owned by a Simi Valley resident. Wold said Morrow got into a dispute with the dog's owner and threatened to kill him.
A grand jury indicted Morrow on criminal charges for the 2005 and 2007 incidents. A subsequent search of Morrow's house in Ventura yielded eight guns, including a sawed-off shotgun, a large Nazi flag and other "white power" paraphernalia, officials said. Wold said Morrow sold white supremacist paraphernalia through his Web site.
Morrow failed to appear in court Jan. 11.
He was a fugitive until he was arrested in February in Pahrump, Nev., on suspicion of the weapons charges and criminal threats.
Morrow's criminal history includes a 1995 conviction for felony theft, a 1997 guilty plea for possession of an illegal substance and a 1998 conviction for a hate crime assault involving the stabbing of an Asian man.

Maybe it will be his constitutional right to have female visitors. Wouldn't that be a hoot. Wouldn't surprise me. These political idiots seem to be so concerned about prisoners rights. Why not? (sarcastic)

Great, now he can go on a solid daily diet of racism, weight lifting, sparring and get out of prison in a couple of years a bigger, scarier scum-bag, with no fear. When will we wake up and take responsibility for our actions. Our actions should be to make this scum-bag work on a chain gang, he should hate prison. Instead prison is designed for someone like him.

I have been saying the same thing about prison....it's too easy, it's too comfortable. These people commit crimes and are treated better than out soldiers, given more benefits and comforts than our own citizens who are homeless and simply fallen on hard times. They need to make prison the most horrible place to be and scare the heck out of people so they NEVER want to commit a crime.
Take away all the of the goodies, TV, weights, sugar, creamer, coffee, real milk...imagine all the money that could be saved and how much the crime rate would go down!
Spend that money on homeless groups that get people back on feet and back functioning in society rather than wasting in on this piece of trash.

Ventura County is that not enough to put him in for life. Or doesn race play a part here. A Mexican man robbing a ice cream vender gets ridiculous time. A cop that stole and wrote false reports gets a year. Attempted murderes walk off. Why do people who do violent charges consistively get off so easily. Now all the Skinheads in County can have their leader.

Guys like this dirt bag only thrive in prison and he most likely will be released an even bigger racist because of how the ethnic gangs are allowed to control what goes on in the lock-up.
Gang bangers like him should spend long hard sentences, be strictly controlled while incarcerated and all their freedoms should be taken away.
We have groups like the ACLU to thank for today's thugs like Mr. Morrow not fearing prison because of good work they have done on his behalf.
That's why the Supreme Court is so important this election and by the way who's the current member of the ACLU in this election?
