Fire extinguished at Somis Nut House
A fire was extinguished this morning in a Somis business, authorities said.
The fire was reported in a work room of the Somis Nut House, 4475 Los Angeles Ave., at 8:53 a.m., said Bill Nash, a spokesman for the Ventura County Fire Department.
When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from the building. They put out the flames in 10 minutes, Nash said.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known this morning.
The Nut House sells snacks including nuts, candies, dried fruit and trail mix.

I went by there this morning about 6:50 am. The only fires I saw were in the fields. Workers trying to keep warm. Ahh! Fall is here.

I hope the damage was minimal, if any. I no longer live in CA, but that place is great! I loved going there to get dried fruits and candies! Yum!

Thanks to all for your comments and concerns regarding our fire this morning. There was no damage to our store and we are open as usual. The damage was limited to a small work area in the back of our building and thanks to the Somis Fire Station 57 and the other responding fire crews all is well.
