Police honored at Santa Clara High annual dinner

Santa Clara High School will hold its 18th annual dinner and auction gala at 5:30 p.m. Saturday at Friedrich Pavilion.

This year, members of the Oxnard Police Department will be the honored guests at the Catholic school's fundraiser. The pavilion is on campus at 2121 Saviers Road, Oxnard.

"All of us at Santa Clara appreciate the wonderful job the Oxnard Police Department performs in the community," said Principal Siobhain O'Reilly-Hill. "In addition to keeping the city safe, its officers serve as great role models for our students."

The $55 gala ticket includes complimentary wine and hors d'oeuvres during the auction beginning at 5:30 p.m. and an Italian dinner at 7 p.m.

Proceeds will go toward Santa Clara academic programs. For more information, call 483-9502, choose option 8 and ext. 135.
