The war effort in Southwest Asia has been in the United States government's spotlight for national attention and is Congress' largest recipient of appropriations.
Soldiers are on the front lines operating heavy, expensive Civil Engineering Support Equipment (CESE), such as, HMMWVs, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAPs), and Medium Tactical Vehicle Replacement (MTVRs). However, without logistic support for CESE equipment, the war effort would not be successful.
The men and women that run Automotive Repair Parts (ARP) are the unsung heroes, hidden from the spotlight of recognition. They provide logistic support to the Navy's CESE, ensuring that each inoperable CESE receives the parts it needs to be functional.Although there are overwhelmingly numerous pieces of CESE throughout theater, NMCB Four's diligent team of ARP personnel, currently deployed to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, also support other detachments around the world. Storekeeper 2nd Class(SCW/AW) Kristoffer Buhain is the heart and soul of ARP, processing all requirements to ensure CESE stays running.
A soldier without a tank cannot go anywhere, while a soldier with a broken tank is just as vulnerable. ARP is no doubt one of the most vital components of the Supply realm. Without it, vital CESE needed to support missions in the war on terror would fail. It involves managing huge amounts of tax-payers' money; therefore, meticulous attention to detail is required. Ultimately, ARP is fundamental in achieving victory against terrorism, without ARP, the mission would fail.
