City holds cancer walk this weekend

More from Local NewsMoorpark's 24-hour Relay for Life this weekend will raise money for cancer research as well as honor cancer survivors.
Money raised goes to the American Cancer Society's patient service programs, cancer research, advocacy and community education.
People can still join teams or cheer on the participants, who will walk relay-style around the track for 24 hours. The event begins at 10 a.m. Saturday and continues through Sunday.
The relay, with the theme "A Cancer-Free Paradise," will be at Moorpark High School, 4500 Tierra Rejada Road, Moorpark.
Teams are composed of 12 or more people and are formed by local businesses, community groups and individuals to raise funds before the event.
Anyone can also light a candle in honor of or in memory of a friend or loved one who has had cancer as part of the luminaria Saturday after sundown.
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society's signature event, happening in more than 4,200 communities across the country.
