New on the market: Nike Golf's Tiger Woods Platinum Collection
The scoop: The new Tiger Woods (TW) Platinum Collection is a premium offering of luxury performance apparel designed to reflect the unique personal insights of the Tiger Woods, the world's No. 1 ranked golfer. The TW Platinum is technically advanced, with a style that the company says reflects Woods.
"Tiger came to us and said that he wanted something that represents a new level of sophistication - apparel that performs and looks good on and off the course," said Doug Reed, Nike Golf's Global Director for Apparel and Footwear. "So we worked closely with Tiger on creating an uncompromising, competitive and progressive line of clothing that represents where Tiger is today. We are evolving as Tiger evolves. It's really an amazing and inspiring process."
The TW Platinum Collection feature a unique "no sew" technology that reduces weight and bulk in places like plackets, sleeves and collars, and gives the simple knit shirt a sleek, modern look. The new premium line incorporates Nike's innovative NikeFIT technology without compromising the luxurious style it renders.
Some of the featured offerings in the TW Platinum line include: Dri-FIT Jersey Polo (MSRP $100) that has laser-cut buttonholes and no-sew placket; TW Platinum Pant (MSRP $130) that features no-sew venting with mesh inserts; TW Platinum Nike Sphere Pro Jacket (MSRP $210) that has external bonded taping.
When they arrive: The entire Tiger Woods (TW) Platinum Collection is available now at golf shops around the country.
