Ventura County resident Shanté Morgan-Durisseau among members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. recognized by the California State Assembly for community service during annual Delta Days in Sacramento Social Action Conference. Morgan-Durisseau is chair of Social Action for the Ventura County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and an appointee to the Ventura County Commission for Women. She is a resident of Moorpark.

The 22nd annual Delta Days in Sacramento was held April 19-April 21 and themed Challenging Our Communities To Be Healthy, Wealthy and Wise. Similar to Delta Days in Washington, D.C., and the United Nations, the Sacramento initiative promotes leadership, advocacy and empowerment to effect social change and public policy. This year, Morgan-Durisseau served as chair of the Social Action luncheon.Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a predominantly African American public service organization of college-educated women that focuses on educational development; economic development; international awareness and involvement; mental and physical health; and political awareness and involvement
