Freak Storm In Southern California Was Predicted In Advance
A freak storm hit Southern California starting May 22, 2008 and lasted into the early part of the week. The National Weather Service was blind to believe that it would happen. The GFS model is a numerical weather prediction model. This model they said made flip flops causing a hard forecast period.
OWSweather.com Meteorologist Kevin Martin warned of the storm system on May 16, 2008. Martin states that he saw the storm system in Asia at the time. He states that a cutoff low in the middle of the Pacific Ocean was the cause. It would move north and interact with a "bomb" storm system into Canada. This would drop the "bomb" like system into the United States as a rapidly building high pressure system formed above the Pacific Ocean.
Even as Martin stated it would happen, Accuweather's Ken Clark had not mentioned it. He was riding the National Weather Service train on the GFS model showing a ridge of high pressure. This was an amazingly hard forecast for the forecasters however Martin said it was not.
"The forecast was quite easy. I mean for Mid-May standards one would think it wouldn't happen as it did but we did. Why? Because of the satellite. At OWSweather.com we have 100 image loop satellite images. These images are so long that I can see the coming patterns with them. It's almost like stirring your coffee in the morning. Next time you do that check for the swirls in it. You'll find it much like a weather pattern!"
All and all Martin states the forecast was called by OWSweather.com due to the fact that he looked at satellite images. Even though the GFS model at NOAA stated a flip flop of rain or heatwave Kevin pressed forward, finally releasing his statement of the coming storm.
Martin also says that we will warm up to seasonal temperatures by end month.

What?
Please write an article that makes sense. There are unbelieveable contradictions and poor syntax.

Hey ET Pilot. I suggest you leave a respectable comment to the man. Kevin Martin is known as the BEST weather forecaster in our day for these parts. I do not care what you think but do not ever leave a comment like that again. Us supporters that rely on his forecasts more than the crappy National Weather Service appreciate him ten fold understand boy?
He called that storm before the NWS did and proved so on this very page I've been following. Someone is writing for OWSweather.com it seems. They are telling it how it is. DO NOT disrespect someone like OWSweather.com or Kevin Martin. Their goal in an e-mail sent out that I subscribed to was a goal to take over Southern California from the NWS. Can they do it? You bet you they can. He's the best Southern California has. Predicting this cold weather will end this late month with a HEATWAVE by early June. Most likely starting on the 3rd-5th he said.
Cheers!
John
