Firefighters this afternoon are mopping up a small brush fire in Ventura, authorities said.

The one to two acre blaze was reported at 1:47 p.m. in a barranca near the intersection of Ralston Street and Antelope Avenue.

Ventura City and Ventura County firefighters had contained the blaze by about 3:20 p.m., said Battalion Chief David Frost of the Ventura City Fire Department.

Firefighters are still working to fully extinguish the fire.
