Police looking for suspect in stabbing
An Oxnard man was recovering at a local hospital Sunday after being stabbed the day before.
Oxnard police say road rage triggered a fight and stabbing late Saturday afternoon that left one man in serious but stable condition at St. John's Regional Medical Center on Sunday.
The 22-year-old victim's name was not released by police, because detectives are still looking for the suspect.
The stabbing happened about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Arco Station at Fifth Street and Victoria Avenue.
Anyone with information related to the crime is asked to contact Detective Paul Knapp at 385-7796.

I understand not releasing the name of the victim. But, Star, why not give us information on the stabber(s)?

Given the gas crisis and the inconsiderateness of some drivers at the station, I imagine someone cut in line to get gas faster and pissed off the wrong MoFo.

Interesting that someone like Brucevacumesrooster would choose a story about the victim of a stabbing to unload his personal agenda about poor drivers? I happen to know the victim in question. It could have been any of us who happened upon the wrong individual in the wrong car with a knife, having done nothing wrong driving our car to bring out the anger in another driver, certainly nothing on the list of offenses listed in the above post. Really poor taste to be commenting on someone else's misfortune, and suggesting that warrants being stabbed? Nice.

I repeat... you honestly believe any of your statements warrant being stabbed in the neck multiple times and almost losing a life? Sad comment on your regard for life. And yes, I'm a fine driver, thanks for asking, but apparently in your world you are the only person on the road who matters. Hate to be you.

Kudos Brucevacumesrooster!!! yet again you have graced an internet website with one of your HILARIOUS lists!! you should be ashamed of yourself, using this article as an opportunity to get some cheap laughs...don't you think we all know why certain drivers suck! we don't need a list! this article has nothing to do with driving skills. in fact, it doesnt mention any specifics from either party involved.
i love your judgments as well: calling Rthompson a poor driver and inept and you havent even so much as had a conversation with her. wow! you are classic. this man was stabbed!! have you ever been stabbed? in the neck?!! even he was at fault, does he deserve to be within 1/4'' of death, thats how far the blade was from his jugular!! go sit and think about your stupid jokes, maybe plan a time and place for them, or better yet i'll give those to you: how about never and hell. you are a bummer bruce...
your list came off like tough-guy jarble, typical jock-driver, "stay outta my way"...hilarious stuff bruce, get an agent, or better yet, ride a bike.

Stupid people annoy me. And stupid drivers annoy me even more. I am not a road raged driver by any means, but I am extremely aware, alert and safe. Maybe that's why I always notice the horrible driving habits of other people. I was coming out of a parking lot just yesterday when this guy tried to turn right into my lane. I honked my horn and he turned back in. But I noticed he glared at me and proceeded to honk his horn, LIKE IT WAS MY FAULT! What a piece of work. All I ask is that you be aware of your surroundings, stay OFF the phone, and please drive a vehicle you can handle. This goes for you "soccer mom" that drives her husbands oversized gas-guzzling, children filled SUV, while talking on your cell phone to your sister-in-law and backing up in a parking lot while not looking where you are going.
Thank you.

When that gas station is crowded, people get very testy. And since you can enter from either side, it can be confusing...knowing whose turn is next, etc.
Add the rising costs of fuel to an already frustrating situation and you get tempers that flare.
But stabbing someone? That's scary. rthompson - I hope that your friend makes a full recovery.
Here's a tip for those who are easily irked by the Arco gas lines...pay 5 cents more per gallon and go across the street to the Mobil station.
The gas prices and lines are hard on everyone...let's just try to be nice to each other.

I really hope that this person makes a full speedy recovery. It's sad to think that this could very well happen to anyone of us as well. I gas up there all the time. And all it takes is one time to piss someone off. Stupid drivers still annoy me to no end, but it's always best to just take your lumps and move on.

Its sad how some dumb people react to this unfortunate incident. BeaHappy, I pay .10 cents more and go to Chevron. I rather pay a buck more for gas than to stand at ARCO who is gonna charge me .45 cents more for using by debit card. I get irritated at times for the way people drive too. but to stab someone thats just ridiculous. We have all made a stupid move on the road once. maybe We did not notice someone was next to us or something. But really did we deserve to get stabbed. Bruce altough I agree with your 8 rules, I hope no one ever does anything to you for making a mistake.

missing805...I'm with you. If there is any kind of line at all at Arco, I gladly go to another gas station. It's just not worth it for the slightly lower gas prices.
Not to mention that dumb .45 cent charge for debit cards.
