Share your memories of Indiana Jones, Ford
We want your "Indiana Jones" memories.
The opening this week of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford and Karen Allen, is sparking a lot of old memories — some dating all the way back to 1981, when Spielberg, Ford and Allen launched the classic series with "Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark."
("The Temple of Doom" (1984) and "The Last Crusade" (1989) followed; "Kingdom," opening Thursday, is the fourth in the "Indiana Jones" series.)
The character was a phenomenon; the movie was too. People emulated the handsome hero and Ford, a man's leading man. And they flocked to watch.
So, what are your Indiana Jones memories? Where were you and whom were you with when the landmark films came out? Do you own any memorabilia? Do you know someone who looks like the rugged hero?
Please share. E-mail your stories and/or photos to jprice@VenturaCountyStar.com.
