Literary Happenings: Cavalcade of authors set to visit T.O. bookstore

Mysteries to Die For in Thousand Oaks will continue its 15th anniversary celebration this year with the appearance of many notable authors over the next few weeks.
At 7 p.m. Tuesday, the store will host a wine-and-cheese party for John Sandford, author of "Phantom Prey," the latest Lucas Davenport thriller.
At 1 p.m. Friday, Sheldon Siegel will sign "Judgment Day," the newest title in his series featuring San Francisco partners Mike Daley and Rosie Fernandez.
At 1 p.m. Saturday, Edgar Award-winner Thomas Perry will sign "Fidelity," which the bookstore calls a "standout thriller."
At 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Bill Fitzhugh will sign "The Adventures of Slim and Howdy." Publishers Weekly calls it a "comic caper" filled with "plot twists and nutty one-liners."
At 1 p.m. May 31, Julie Compton will sign "Tell No Lies," set in St. Louis; and Elizabeth Sims will sign "The Actress," set in Hollywood.
At 1 p.m. June 4, Lee Child will sign "Nothing to Lose," the latest title in his popular Jack Reacher series.
At 11:30 a.m. June 7, Don Winslow will sign "Dawn Patrol," featuring surfing private investigator Boone Daniels. The bookstore calls it "the ultimate page-turning surfer novel."
At 1 p.m. June 11, New York Times best-selling author John Connolly will sign "The Reapers," a new Charlie Parker novel.
At noon June 14, Jon Land will sign "The Seven Sins," a thriller that takes readers to Sicily and Las Vegas. Land is president of the International Thriller Writers' Association.
At 2 p.m. June 14, Laura Levine will sign "Killing Bridezilla," which the bookstore calls "a fantastic afternoon of fun and laughs."
At 12:30 p.m. June 16, Meg Gardiner will sign "The Dirty Secrets Club," featuring San Francisco forensic psychiatrist Jo Beckett.
At 1 p.m. June 19, New York Times best-selling author Jeffery Deaver will sign "The Broken Window" from his Lincoln Rhyme and Amelia Sachs series.
