AGOURA HILLS

Match and Marry' to be screened Monday

The Conejo Jewish Academy will presen t a showing of the film "Match and Marry" at 7:30 p.m. Monday at 30345 Canwood St.

The film is a close-up look at the tradition of Jewish matchmaking that dates back thousand of years.

The director and producer of the film, Suzannah Warlick, will conduct a question-and-answer session after the showing.

The cost is $12 for prepaid reservations and $15 at the door. For reservations, call 818-991-0991.

St. Paul plans golf fundraiser for June 8

St. Paul Lutheran Church in Agoura Hills will conduct its second annual Golf Classic at Lost Canyons Golf Club in Simi Valley.

Tournament entry includes golf, cart fees, lunch, goodie bag, contest holes (men's and women's), and a hole-in-one contest for a new car.

After golf, there will be a dinner with awards and a raffle.

Proceeds from the event will go toward keeping St. Paul's vacation Bible school free to the community and to the Ventura County Rescue Mission and additional church outreach programs.

Sponsorships are available and tax-deductible.

Donations of items for the raffle also will be appreciated.

Tee time will be at 1:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.

Workshop on an abundant life offered

A workshop about five gifts for an abundant life will take place at 6:30 p.m. May 30 at the Camarillo Center for Spiritual Living.

Participants will learn to create a consciousness of wealth through gratitude, intentions, forgiveness, tithing and surrender.

The Rev. Diane Harmony will facilitate the seminar that attempts to inspire riches from the inside out. The cost for the class is a gift of gratitude.

PORT HUENEME

Westminster to honor former mayor

Westminster Presbyterian Church will conduct an honorary memorial for Ray Prueter, who was mayor of Port Hueneme from 1962 to 1974. The event will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday.

The Ray D. Prueter Library on Park Avenue was dedicated in his honor.

He died in April in Anaconda, Mont., where he was buried.

The church is at 755 Bard Road.

VENTURA

Trinity Lutheran to screen film

The 2006 film "The Ultimate Gift" will be shown at 4 p.m. May 24 at Trinity Lutheran Church.

The film, starring James Garner and Abigail Breslin, portrays the legacy left by a grandfather to his self-centered grandson.

The presentation is free.
