Tournament will benefit Alzheimer's Association

The Forget-Me-Not Bowling Tournament to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, California Central Coast Chapter, will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. May 26 at Harley's Camarillo Bowl.

All proceeds will go to the Alzheimer's Association. According to Marcia Ortiz, the Ventura County-area director for the association, its California Central Coast Chapter is a donor-supported, voluntary health organization committed to research, care and support for those living with Alzheimer's disease in Ventura County.

The association serves more than 30,000 Alzheimer's clients, and that number is increasing.

Events like the bowling tournament help raise funds to keep the association operating at a level where it can provide quality programs, service and comfort to those afflicted with the disease, as well as to their family members and caregivers.

The tournament fee is $20 per person, which includes bowling and shoe rental.

Prizes will be awarded for first-, second- and third-place teams.

There also will be refreshments, door prizes and drawings. The first 100 attendees will receive a gift bag.

The event is sponsored by Bankers Life and Casualty Co.

Harley's Camarillo Bowl is at 305 Arneill Road, Camarillo. For more information, or to register, call 760-5242.
