ST. BONAVENTURE WINS LEAGUE
JV
Highlights: St. Bonaventure — The Seraphs defeated Malibu, 9-2, and 19-0 to wrap up the Tri-Valley League title for the fifth straight year. In the first game, Garrett Dann pitched six innings for the win. Relief pitcher Daniel Gonzales struck out the side in the seventh inning. Jared Rodriguez went 3 for 3 with three RBIs. Marshall Castro had two RBIs. Austin Mascorro and Dann each went 2 for 4. Timmy Bennett, Jacob Lopez and Johnny Salazar all had hits. Contributing on defense were Mike Henderson, Josh Gilbreath, Dustin Negrete, Rudy Ramirez, Eric Hyun and J.J. LaSalle. In the second game, St. Bonaventure's bats really came alive in a 19-0 victory. LaSalle was the winning pitcher with Daniel Gonzales pitching the last three innings. Gonzales went 2 for 5, Bennett went 2 for 3, Mascorro went 1 for 2, Salazar went 2 for 4 and Henderson, LaSalle, Lopez, Rodriquez, Castro all had hits. Gary Mascorro and Mike Herrera are the coaches.
Record: St. Bonaventure 21-5.
OXNARD EARNS CHAMPIONSHIP
JV
Highlights: Oxnard — The Yellowjackets defeated Pacifica, 14-3, and Camarillo, 8-5, in the league championship game. Against Pacifica, Michael Ramirez was 2 for 4 with two runs scored and three RBIs, including a homer. Alex Carrillo was 2 for 3 with two doubles and two RBIs. Noel Gonzalez pitched five innings, giving up one run on three hits, Guillermo Amezquita closed the game. Ramirez had two doubles, scored two runs and drove in a run. Justin Reveles was 2 for 3 with a triple, two runs and two RBIs. Matt Foster was 2 for 3 with a double and three RBI. Albert Delgado was 3 for 3 with a double and a run. Tony Diaz added a double and pitched a complete game with six strikeouts. Ramirez batted .533 with 32 hits, 21 RBIs, 26 runs, 11 stolen bases and a 1.000 fielding percentage at catcher. Diaz was 6-0 as a pitcher with 2.20 ERA and hit .310. Andrew Aguailar was the coach.
Record: Oxnard 17-2, 14-1 Pacific View League.
OAKS CHRISTIAN 10-9, NORDHOFF 0-6

Highlights: Oaks Christian — Drew Hacker was the winning pitcher, tossing a one-hitter over five innings in the 10-0 victory. Sam Wales had three hits, scored twice and walked. Dillon VanderWal had a double. Scott Dulgeroff had a hit and two RBIs. In the 9-6 win, Kyle Smith had two hits and one RBI. Dulgeroff had a hit. Tim Gerlach had two hits and four RBIs. Mike Gose had four hits, scored twice, stole two bases and had an RBI. Hacker had three hits, scored twice, stole two bases and drove in a run. Max Napolitano was the winning pitcher, scattering two hits with two strikeouts and allowing one earned run over three innings. Nordhoff — Sean Collins had the one hit and a stolen base. John Drifka drew a walk off Hacker. In the second game, Daniel Stoner had three hits and a stolen base. Sean Bettles had a double. Darren Loe had a triple.
ROYAL 6, NEWBURY PARK 3

Highlights: Royal — Patrick McCoy allowed one hit over two innings. Chad Avena allowed three runs on six hits with three strikeouts. Corey Lavallee pitched the final inning, allowing a hit and recording a strikeout. Lavallee had a double, single and scored a run. Nate McMullen had two hits and three RBIs. Thomas Sereika had two hits. Tyler Abbott had a double and one RBI. Trevor Rapp had a single, two RBIs, scored a run and added a sacrifice fly. Avena had a hit, two walks, stole a base and scored a run. Alex Flandez added a hit and scored twice. Vito Messina had a hit. McCoy scored a run. The Highlanders had 11 hits. Newbury Park had eight hits.
BLAKELY SETS RECORD
Freshmen
Highlights: Royal — Ryan Blakely scattered eight hits and registered 10 strikeouts to win his eighth decision in 10 games. Blakely has registered 67 strikeouts in 60 innings. Blakely set a freshman record for most wins (eight). Royal defeated Thousand Oaks, 5-0, behind Blakely's pitching and the Highlanders hitting. Royal lost to Simi Valley, 3-0.
VENTURA SPLITS GAMES
Freshmen
Highlights: Ventura — The Cougars lost to Dos Pueblos, 2-1, and then defeated the Chargers in the final game, 1-0. In the first game, Nick Torrez gave up six hits and had four strikeouts in the loss. Jimmy Miller went 2 for 3 and scored. Ricky Merrill and Edgar Flores went 2 for 3. Jake Likness and Casey Gladden also had hits. Nick Griffith threw a complete-game three-hitter with four strikeouts. Griffith also drove in the winning run. Braeden Ayub and Ricky Merrill went 2 for 3. Jimmy Miller had a hit and scored the only run. Tyler Hawkins also had a hit. The Cougars ended the season 10-12 overall and 3-7 in Channel League, with seven of their losses by one run and two others by two. The Cougars are Michael Arias, Ayub, Travis Curl, Flores, Griff Garrabrant, Gladden, Griffith, Jake Herbold, Bryan Hickman, Likness, Merrill, Jimmy Miller, Jacob Murray, Tyler Patton and Torrez. The team was coached by Donnie Fuller.
OAKS CHRISTIAN WINS PAIR
Freshmen
Highlights: Oaks Christian — The Lions scored first in the second inning on consecutive hits by Josh Davis, John Gebbia and J.J. Sprague to jump out to a 2-0 lead en route to a 3-2 win over Nordhoff. Oaks Christian added another run in the sixth inning on a leadoff walk to Daniel Lopez, who was followed with hits by Taylor Cochran, Blair Holliday, and Davis. Blake McFadden picked up the win, pitching six-plus innings allowing two hits, no earned runs, with seven strikeouts. The offense was led by Davis (two hits, a run, and one RBI), Sprague (two hits), Holliday (two hits), Gebbia (double, one run and one RBI), with Cochran and McFadden also adding hits. Oaks Christian closed the season with a 6-5 win over St. Bonaventure. Oaks Christian rallied from a 4-1 deficit to tie it 5-5. Luke Zirretta scored what turned out to be the winning run in the sixth inning with Trevor Gretzky picking up the RBI. Cochran was the winning pitcher, going seven innings, allowing five hits, and only one earned run. The offense was led by Gretzky (three hits and three RBIs). Zirretta (one hit and two runs), Josh Davis (two hits and one RBI), Blake McFadden (one RBI). )run) and Cochran (two hits and two runs).and one RBI).
