The Children's Concert Choir of the Master Chorale of Ventura County ends its last season under the direction of Marcene Camp Jardine with a final concert on Saturday, May 31 at 2:00 pm in the sanctuary of Trinity Lutheran Church located at the corner of Ashwood and Loma Vista in Ventura. Families with children who are interested in future membership in the choir are encouraged to attend this concert and hear these young singers who come from throughout Ventura County. There is no charge for the concert but donations are accepted.

Mrs. Jardine leads the children in a program of their all-time favorites as she prepares to retire from her post this summer after a visit of the Atlanta Young Singers of Collenwolde directed by her friend Paige Mathis. The Atlanta group will stop in Ventura County on July 12 and 13 on their way to the Pacific Rim Festival in Hawaii. The two choirs met on one of three European tours taken by the Ventura group under Mrs. Jardine. Both groups will perform on July 13.

To prepare local singers for this joint musical adventure, Mrs. Jardine has created a "short course" beginning June 3, designed for current and former members of the Concert Choir and also children from the community who have had choral experience and would like to perform with the Atlanta Young Singers. For information on either the May 31 concert or the "short course" in June, call Mrs. Jardine at 983-0913.
