Thursday, May 22, 2008 the Simi Valley Emblem Club will celebrate their 34th birthday with a BBQ dinner honoring Supreme District Officers, Past Club Presidents, Club Member of the year and Scholarship Recipients.
The Frank and Helen Galbraith Scholarship Fund, (Frank is a Charter member of the Simi Valley Elks and Helen is a Charter member of the Simi Valley Emblem Club), recipients for 2008 are: Simi Valley High School, Amond Holt; Santa Susana High School, Sara Anderson; Royal High School, Shana Moore and Apollo High School, Sandra Camarena. These $500 Scholarships are given for scholastic ability and achievements in their community.
This event will be held at the Simi Valley Elks Lodge, 1561 Kuehner Drive, Simi Valley. For more information please call 522-2492.
