More from YourNewsSimi Valley-Moorpark Republican Women, Federated are pleased to announce that Keenan Hochschild is the winner of its' 2008 Scholarship Contest.
Keenan, a senior at Moorpark High School,l was awarded a check for $1000 at the April club meeting. He was then qualified to enter the scholarship contest for the Ventura County Federation of Republican Women where he won first place. Keenan's application was then entered in the Charlotte Mousel Scholarship Contest of the California Federation of Republican Women, Southern Division. He received the Second Place Award. This contest included applicants from the eight southern counties of California.
Keenan volunteers as a Docent at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, and has served as a summer camp counselor. He plans to attend university to study political science and to pursue a career in the political field.
The Simi Valley-Moorpark Republican Women give this award annually to a high school senior, and applications are made available at each high school.
