Ventura County District #1 Supervisor Steve Bennett spent most of Saturday morning April 5th meeting with the members of the League of Latin American Citizens LULAC. He addressed three primary topics:

1. State of Ventura : Mr. BennettCounty

2. County Hiring

3, Boating Instruction and Safety Channel Islands Boating Instruction Safety CenterHarborCenter

After his presentation, he opened up the floor for Questions and Answers and proved himself to be educated on the wide variety of problems that Ventura County

Also Edward M. Castillo and Bill Terry provided a presentation on the Oxnard Traffic Initiative. Points in favor of the issue were offered by Ed Castillo on the impacts on Oxnards infrastructures by pointing out traffic deficits within the City of Oxnards General Plan that have not been corrected either due to impact fees that were not collected or because the plan is an outdated document. Bill Terry offered his concerns on the harmful environmental impacts caused by heavy peak traffic

How convenient that the writer, Hensley, left out one very important fact! LULAC voted to oppose the Oxnard Traffic Initiative and both Denis O'Leary AND Hensley refused to vote. Is that how O'Leary responds to tough issues by not taking a stand?
