Major Heatwave Coming Mid May.

Since last week, OWSweather.com Meteorologist Kevin Martin has been advertising that a heatwave will strike the area since early May. Unusual for this time of May. Martin states that a ridge of high pressure will build into the Western coast of the United States. Martin also tells us that this will bring 100+ degree temperatures to the hot spots of the region.

Martin says, "I have released a statement to all fire personel. This is a heatwave that will also include offshore Santa Ana Winds capable of driving fire dangers through the roof."

So all and all OWSweather.com expects a really hot period from Thursday to Monday of next week. The service says that the hottest days will be Friday and Saturday with each having offshore flow. Dry conditions means fire dangers and with the added wind and heat, the public should keep notice.
