Three from Ventura qualify for State
Southern California Junior College Championships at Bakersfield
Highlights: Ventura — Randi Hicks finished second in the javelin with a throw of 128 feet, 2 inches. Brandon Johnson finished in third in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 9 minutes. 49.27 seconds. Nicholas Karan finished fifth in the triple jump with a mark of 46-6. All three qualified for the state championships in Cerritos next Saturday.
