Gregory S. Woodburn of Ventura, known as Woody Woodburn to The Star's readers for his past sports coverage, has contributed to the newest "Chicken Soup for the Soul" book. "Chicken Soup for the Father and Son Soul: Celebrating the Bond that Connects Generations" is a collection of true tales that includes two stories by Woodburn. In the first, "This Matchup Will Always Rank as a Classic," three generations of fathers and sons connect as they play basketball. The second, "Going Fishing with Grandpa," follows a 6-year-old in art class told to draw "the most important person in the world." He draws his grandfather, who spends time with him and teaches him to fish.
