Four arrested on suspicion of vandalism in Santa Paula

Building sprayed with green paint

Four Santa Paula men were arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of felony vandalism after police said a building in the 100 block of West Santa Barbara Street was vandalized with spray paint.

Police said they saw several people next to the wall that had been spray painted about 6:35 p.m. Police also found a spray can of green paint there. Two of the people had green paint on their hands, police said.

Oscar Cano, 19, Ernesto Mariscal, 24, Hijinio Banuelos, 18, and Gabriel Buenrostro, 22, were booked at the Ventura County Jail on bail of $20,000.

Police estimate that the graffiti caused $450 in damage to the building.
