With renewed spirit and commitment to supporting the vital programs and services offered by the United Way of Ventura County and their community partners, the Ventura Regional Sanitation District recently completed their annual United Way charitable-giving campaign. Berniece Bird, VRSDs United Way Campaign Chair led the campaign and has successfully reported an increase of support for this year. These VRSDs employees provide such an instrumental service to our residents so their commitment to stepping up their support is truly admirable. United Way of Ventura County is grateful for the generosity that we receive from the employees of the Ventura Regional Sanitation District. , said Pedro A. Chavez , United Way s Campaign Division Director.
Monies raised from the Ventura Regional Sanitation District campaign help support United Way s Community Impact programs and initiatives. With four key focus areas Basic Needs, Self-sufficiency, Health and Connections and 14 distinct initiatives, United Way is mobilizing the caring power of our communities by helping to advance the common good for many residents and their families right here in Ventura County.
With the dynamics of running a campaign at the Ventura regional Sanitation District, it is truly a challenge to get people together all in one room and provide them with information about supporting United Way . Ms. Bird has been flexible in reaching out to the employees wherever they may be and will soon begin to incorporate United Way into the new hiring process.
