Nominate Your Favorite Non-Profit Community Organization: Winner will be Honored by Chamber's Community Foundation

More from Conejo ValleyThousand Oaks, CA The Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Community Foundation will honor a local non-profit community organization at their sixth annual Spirit of Community Awards Celebration in June. The public is invited to submit the names of non-profit organizations that have made a positive impact on the communities of Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village. Nominations must be received at the Chamber offices by Friday, May 16 to be considered.
The nomination form can be downloaded from the Thousand Oaks-Westlake Village Regional Chamber of Commerce website at www.towlvchamber.org/docs/Foundation/NominationForm.pdf, or one can be faxed or emailed by calling 805.370.0035. The completed form can be mailed, emailed or faxed to the Chamber offices to the attention of Jessie McCormick, jmccormick@towlvchamber.org, 600 Hampshire Road, Suite 200, Westlake Village, CA 91361, Fax 805.370.1083.
In addition to the new category of a non-profit community organization, the Spirit of Community Awards Celebration will also recognize top area educators, a local community volunteer, law enforcement agencies, fire protection agencies, and armed forces for contributing their time and effort to make the cities of Thousand Oaks and Westlake Village better places to live and work.
The awards event is open to the public and will be held Thursday, June 5, 2008, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Los Robles Greens Banquet Center, 299 S. Moorpark Road, Thousand Oaks. The evening features a dessert reception and awards presentation. Cost to attend the Spirit of Community Celebration is $27. Reservations are required.
