Highlights: Ventura — With the victory, the Cougars clinched a berth in the CIF playoffs. James Staniland pitched a complete-game four-hitter. Ryan Addy hit the game-winning RBI single in the seventh.

Records: Ventura 13-14, 6-5 Channel League; Dos Pueblos 14-11, 8-3.

BUENA 13, SAN MARCOS 0

At San Marcos

Highlights: Buena — A.J. Gallardo went 2 for 4 with a home run, three runs scored and two RBIs. Stuart Smith went 2 for 4 with two runs and two RBIs. Matt Arve went 3 for 3 with a pair of runs scored. Ryan Jones went 2 for 4 with two RBIs.

Records: Buena 7-15, 4-7 Channel League; San Marcos 6-20, 0-11.

CAMARILLO 19, RIO MESA 5

At Rio Mesa

Highlights: Camarillo — Jacob Mahan went 4 for 6 with two doubles, scored three times, drove in two and stole a base. Thomas Reilly gave up only one run and struck out four over five innings. Rio Mesa — Sean Ardoin went 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored. Chase Crawford went 1 for 3 with an RBI double.

Records: Camarillo 19-6, 1 Pacific View League; Rio Mesa 8-15, 5-9.

HUENEME 8, CHANNEL ISLANDS 2

At Channel Islands

Highlights: Hueneme — Phil Robles pitched a complete game for the win, and went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Allan Eweld was 2 for 4 with a run. Jonathan Ortega scored twice and had an RBI. Channel Islands — Joe Henry went 2 for 3 with a home run.

Records: Hueneme 13-11, 8-6 Pacific View League; Channel Islands 3-19, 1-13.

OXNARD 8, PACIFICA 4

At Oxnard

Highlights: Oxnard — Alex Solis pitched five innings, allowing two earned runs and striking out seven. At the plate, he went 2 for 4 with a run. Kevin Newburg went 3 for 4 with a run scored and three RBIs. Blake Adame hit a home run and finished 3 for 4. Pacifica — Zack McDonell went 2 for 3 with two RBIs.

Records: Oxnard 18-5-1, 12-2 Pacific View League; Pacifica 11-14, 5-9.

Highlights: St. Bonaventure — Martin Medina pitched a three-hitter and struck out 10. Casey Serna went 2 for 2.

Highlights: Santa Paula — Allen Gwynn pitched a complete game and struck out nine. Gwynn also had the game-winning sacrifice fly in the third inning, scoring Tomas Huizar. Fillmore — Nick Hernandez singled in the first inning to score Raul Ramirez. Hernandez and Ramirez both went 2 for 3.

Highlights: Oaks Christian — Kosmala Hunter went 2 for 3 with a three-run home run in the second inning. Matt Ramirez pitched six innings and struck out five.

Highlights: Agoura — With the victory, the Chargers clinched a berth in the CIF playoffs. Kim Green pitched the shutout while contributing with two hits and an RBI. Brittany Oster had two hits and two RBIs.

Highlights: Simi Valley — The Pioneers won their 26th straight game, setting a school record. Brianna Stephan went 3 for 4 with two RBIs. Tawny Reeger had a bases-loaded triple in the sixth inning.

Highlights: Santa Clara — With the bases loaded and two outs in the 11th inning, Vanessa Garcia hit a ground ball that was bobbled by the third baseman, allowing Lauren Peraza to score. Stephanie Martello hit a solo home run in the ninth inning.

moorpark wins title

At Soboba Springs, par 72, Monday

Records: 1. Moorpark, 735; 2. College of the Canyons, Cypress and Saddleback, 741; 5. Ventura, 742.

Highlights: Moorpark — Led by Aaron Smith's 36-hole total of 1-under 143, Moorpark won its first Southern California Regional tournament since 1982. Sean Elverum and Rudy Estrada tied for 10th with 144s. Alex Ruggieri and Ben Barrow finished with a 150 and 154, respectively. Moorpark qualified for the state tournament Monday at the SCGA course in Murietta. Moorpark's last state title came in 1981. Ventura — Russell Boring shot a 143. Zack Canny and Satch Hermann had 147s.
