Fresh & Easy market for midtown to be discussed

Tesco, the parent company of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Markets, will discuss its proposal to open a market at Seaward Avenue and Thompson Boulevard at Thursday's meeting of the Midtown Ventura Community Council.

The store would go on the site of the now-vacant McConica Motors showroom on Thompson Boulevard. Parking would be behind the store.

Councilman Ed Summers also will discuss the city's budget and cost-cutting moves adopted Monday.

The 7 p.m. meeting will be in Cooper Hall, adjacent to Grace Church, 65 MacMillan Ave. The public is invited. For more information, call Pamela Hazard at 570-7423 or visit http:///www.midtownventura.org.

Fresh and Easy sounds like some sort of feminine product.
