A Santa Paula police officer was injured when a motorist ran a stop sign and collided with his patrol car, authorities said Thursday.
The crash occurred about 7:47 p.m. Wednesday on Santa Maria Street, according to the Santa Paula Police Department.
Officer Frank Huerta lost consciousness as a result of the crash, police said. He suffered burns to his arms and hit his head on the computer keyboard in the patrol vehicle.
Huerta was taken to Santa Paula Hospital, where he was treated and released, police said. The driver of the other vehicle complained of minor nausea and was taken to Santa Paula Hospital for observation.
The California Highway Patrol was still investigating the crash Thursday.

Well I am glad they are both ok. Seems they were both released from the hospital. From the article it seems the Officer had quite a few hit and bumps. Thankfully he is fine.

I just wonder if the other guy actually did run the stop sign. Or if its the othe drivers word against the Officer. (Just curious)

Well Anna, in past comments you have put that you are supportive of the police. Guess that was a lie considering the slander you just posted. I wonder, nope I know, you don't support the police and just stir the pot. How can you post previously about hoping the officer is fine. I hope that is the officer that comes and saves you when you are in trouble. Or better yet arrests you when you are drunk driving, or even better irony, when you run a stop sign. But I am sure you will tell the truth.

Just so you know "AnnaWhaat", there were independant witnesses in the area. Take your curiosity and learn the facts before posting your silly comments OR ask some questions about it here on this blog instead of making the comments you do.. You never know, there might just be someone out there that has the correct answer.

You people should get a life. Get used to finding fault in what anyone that disagrees with you says, and keep it to yourselves. I still don't understand the point of this feature. Apart from the media using it as a tool with which to gauge a specific demographic for whatever reason. Makes me think of the movie Idiocracy. Hope you all get to see that and see how media and the delivery therof relates to a degradation of intelligence.

jl620 ,But your here reading and commenting? Whats the difference.

Oh, come on. Like any one who posts on this site DOESN'T come across as fault-finders to whoever doesn't agree 100% with what the original poster said. AnnaWhaat is OK. I don't always agree with what she says, but at least she reads, which is more than can be said of the majority of people who post on this paper. Remember--opinions are like @$$ #o1e$: everyone has one and THEY ALL STINK. Don't have knee-jerk opinions about the first thing you read--look it over, think about it, and maybe you will stimulate some neuron growth.

Metalhaid ,Thankyou! I get alot of crap from people. But I have my own opinion of stories and do not feel the need to go with everyone just because it is what they may think or go with the majority. I agree everyone needs to read the story before they come to comments and conclusions.

AngryYouth,Coming from a youth I would expect that. Just because I question the stop doesn't mean a darn thing. And I do hope that Officers that are involved in accidents live and survive !
Seems like if I do not agree with every article as you would then it makes me a hypocrite? Grow up!
And I do NOT drink so the probability of drinking and driving isn't possible.
Formerddog,If you know for a fact there were witness's then I suppose your correct. Thankyou!
ABunker805 ,OMG he was from back in the 70's and was you wouldn't even know him ....So that makes your comment insignificant !
Good grief! If everyone of you think every single cop out there is an freaking angel then your in for a rude awakening!!!!! Look at the six plus cops in philadelphia who just beat the heck out of those guys they pulled over cause they thought they were suspects. WRONG !!!!!! Yes, most cops are good ones. BUT believe me I have met a few bad apples!!!! Don't believe everything you hear and think they are GODS and act like you worship the ground they walk on. Get out in the real world !

Anna... it's obvious you have no idea who you are talking to. To put it lightly, those that know me know that I know the man more than you will ever know and we will leave it at that. He was definitely not an angel but again...if you only knew who you were talking to! If anyone needs to get a life it's you! You say not to believe everything you hear yet you act as though these articles posted by the Star are "gospel" and 100% accurate. You post on every entry and give your two cents as though anyone cares! Again, if you had any idea who you were trying to battle, you'd definitely be embarrassed. I can speak on this particular item as I have the facts. One more time... IF YOU ONLY KNEW WHO YOU WERE TALKING TO!

PS: The real world Anna would be you out in the real world instead of sitting behind your computer screen slinging mud at people. Those in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! Remember that!

ABunker805 ,First off I DONT care who I am talking to ! Is that a threat or what? Some mafia monster? Ohhhhhhhh IF YOU ONLY KNEW ME !!!!!!! You would watch it .......
And if you dont like my comments then do not read them. Apparently you enjoy them enough to read them. Huh? I may comment alot....But that is my business and right.
OMG if you only knew who you were talking to !!!
And as per your other question yes I would. Sorry I am very out spoken. Like it or not. And I do not live in a glass house.........Never said I did. Never said I was perfect or my whole family. But thats my business until it hits the news then you can comment on that huh!
