Star to host party for new networking site for moms
805Moms.com, a recently launched social networking site for Ventura County mothers, will have a welcome party today at The Star's office in Camarillo.
The Web site is a one-stop community resource for working and stay-at-home moms where they can find reliable and accurate information about local happenings, parks, play groups, local businesses, local attractions and things to do with their families. There will also be message boards and personalized blogs.
The site, which provides a way for mothers to connect with each other, was launched April 22 as part of the E.W. Scripps Co.'s Scripps Entrepreneurial Ventures iMoms network of sites. E.W. Scripps is the parent company of The Star.
The welcome party, open to all adults, will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. today in the outside plaza at The Star, 550 Camarillo Center Drive. To RSVP, call 437-0372.
For additional information, contact Tara Stivers, the site's head mom, at 504-3920 or tara@805moms.com.
