Help sought in search for missing kayaker

The friends and family of a boater missing off the Santa Barbara coast since Wednesday evening are asking able-bodied residents in the area to search the waters today for the man.

The request comes as the U.S. Coast Guard abandoned its search for the boater, Richard Keppi. Witnesses said the man's catamaran capsized about 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The Coast Guard and the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department conducted an extensive search for the man.

I think there are catamaran type of kayaks, i have seen them. Bigger mistakes, like purposely leaving out facts that make it almost impossible to identify a criminal, is a mistake and a huge slap in the face to victims. Most elementary students can write simple articles with simple facts and little information. It is no wonder why most NEWSpapers are going downhill. When you fail to report the news correctly and completely, you no longer have a NEWSpaper. It should be called a rough draft paper.
This comment is basically addressed to articles written where there are victims. The Star has good articles on other stories where no political or social agendas are in play.
