Six girls on first team
Six area players were selected as first-team players on the 2008 All-Divisional Girls' Basketball team.
The teams were chosen by the Southern California Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association.
Laura Easterling of Ventura was named to the I-AA first team.
Ventura's Victoria Brubaker and Royal's Erika Ward made the second team.
Chelsea Carlisle of Oaks Christian was picked for the II-AA first team. Carlisle was the Ventura County Basketball Coaches Association's player of the year.
Oxnard's Dajyanah Vines and Keani Albanez were II-AA first- and second-team selections, respectively. Suzie Faanono of Pacifica also made the second team.
Villanova placed two players on the V-AA first team. Hannah Kolbeck and Hannah Hoffman of the Wildcats were honored along with La Reina's Jenna Burge.
Named to the V-AA second team were Kaitlin Reilly of Villanova, Mary Kate Jankowski of La Reina and Carpinteria's Kacey Nomura.
