2 stabbings believed related to robberies
Two stabbings occurred within 10 minutes of each other Friday night during separate street robberies in Oxnard, police said.
Both male victims were at St. John's Regional Medical Center with stab wounds that did not appear to be life-threatening, Oxnard Police Sgt. Paul Cumming said late Friday.
The first attack occurred somewhere in the Lemonwood area of Oxnard about 7 p.m., Cumming said. The second took place about 10 minutes later in the 3000 block of Saviers Road.
Cumming called both incidents street robberies but could not say whether they were related.
No suspect information was available Friday night.
