In 2008 we will continue to bring the Economic, Environmental, and Social Equity perspectives of our region together to update our State of the Region Report with new and relevant data, said Rebecca Evans, Director of the Civic Alliance. The goal is to bring leaders together to create a workforce education strategy for ensuring a skilled workforce to support our local economy, to highlight current development projects that uphold the tenets of livable communities through the quarterly E-Newsletter, and continue to engage residents and elected officials in developing a Compact for a Sustainable Ventura County.
The Ventura County Civic Alliance, an initiative of the Ventura County Community Foundation, is a coalition of civic leaders with a shared commitment to bringing the economic, environmental and social equity interests of the region together to address priority community issues, increase civic engagement, and build community leadership. The Ventura County Civic Alliance (VCCA) is increasing efforts to engage the community in 2008. VCCA has updated its strategic plan and will focus on building relationships, building membership and building financial sustainability for VCCA this year.
