Workshop covers support for widows

Michele Neff Hernandez has made it her mission to reach out to other widows by offering support through her Web site, http://www.widowsbond.com and special seminars.
Today Hernandez is hosting the first of a series of free seminars. The seminars will offer tips on supporting a person through the loss of a spouse, offering practical advice for friends and family members.
Hernandez also will speak from her own widowhood experience and share stories of women she has spoken with who have learned to love life again.
The seminar is from 1:30 to 4 p.m. today at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi. The seminar will be in the multi-purpose room.
