Fun and Travel for Seniors
Four excursions are planned in the next few months for local seniors. Don't miss the bus literally. For more information, or pricing and space availability, contact the Simi Valley Senior Center at either 583-6059 or 583-2732. Trips planned include the following.
Springtime in the South: April 18-26, 2008, is a trip to Atlanta, Myrtle Beach, Charleston, Hilton Head, and Savannah for nine days and eight nights.
Dodger game: On Wednesday, May 7, 10am to 5:30 pm, seniors will take a deluxe motorcoach to the stadium and have reserved seating behind the press box in the shade. This is the Dodgers vs New York Mets game.
Santa Barbara: This is a two days, one night American Riviera round trip by Amtrak from Simi Valley, then board a deluxe motorcoach for one night at the Mason Beach Inn, Santa Barbara. A wonderful city tour will feature a local guide who will bring the group to the Santa Barbara Mission and the History Museum.
Queen Mary: On Sunday, June 22, from 10:30am-6:30 pm, enjoy a cabaret show and dinner at the Tibbie's Dinner Theatre, with a performance of "Let the Sunshine In," a tribute to the memorable music of the 60s and 70s. Tap your fingers and toes to favorite songs from Sonny & Cher, Steve & Edie, Tom Jones and the rest of the crew during a look back in musical time.
