AGOURA HILLS

Department of Community Services Senior Recreation Program

Senior Advisory Committee: 10 a.m. first Tuesday. People who are 50 and older can get involved with the Senior Recreation Program and assist with program development and city-sponsored special events.

Senior Recreation Program, $12 per year, classes, activities, special events and excursions for those 50 and older.

Water aerobics: 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Archstone Apartments. A light exercise class intended for those 50 and older. $45 per four-week session (eight classes).

PACE (People with Arthritis Can Exercise): 10 to 11 a.m. Thursdays. For those 50 and older with rheumatic disease and related problems.

Stretch & Walk: 7 to 8 a.m. Wednesdays. For those 50 and older. Free to center members.

Duplicate bridge: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Fridays. For intermediate players. Players must have partners and be able to stay until 3 p.m.

Current events discussion group: 1:30 to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. Free to Senior Recreation Program registrants.

Jazzercise: 8:45 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays. All fitness levels. $22 per four-week session.

Hearing Loss Association support group: 2 to 4:30 p.m. second Tuesday.

Fibromyalgia support group: 3 to 5 p.m. second Thursday. For people with fibromyalgia and other arthritis problems. Sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation.

Stretch 'n' Walk: 10 to 11:30 a.m. Mondays, 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays and Fridays. An easy- to moderate-exertion exercise class.

Senior fitness: 9 to 10:15 a.m. Thursdays, 8:30 to 10 a.m. Fridays. This is a more active workout.

Genealogy group: 1 to 3 p.m. second and fourth Mondays. Discusses and shares resources on ways to trace family lineage.

Chess group: 1 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Novices to experts are welcome; lessons are provided.

Mah-jongg: 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Mondays, and noon to 4 p.m. Fridays.

Sew 'n' Chat crochet group: 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays. Mending, knitting, sewing or handiwork.

SHOP AHOY

Nonprofit Shop Ahoy provides weekly shopping and delivery of groceries and medications to elderly and disabled homebound residents. Orders taken Monday for delivery Tuesday.

A delivery charge is added to the cost of groceries: $3 for orders up to $20, and $1 more for each additional $10. To enroll, call Elderpride Inc., 659-1530.
